How We Test Forex Brokers

NordFX Review Summary

NordFX is an offshore forex and CFD broker that has operated since 2008. It is built around MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, with Pro and Zero pricing on both platforms. The lowest deposit is $10 on MT4 Pro, maximum leverage reaches 1:1000, and the broker supports forex, metals, energies, indices, cryptocurrency CFDs, and stock CFDs.

The main appeal is practical rather than premium. NordFX gives traders a low starting balance, MetaTrader automation, crypto funding, copy trading, and local payment options in several Asian markets. The main limitation is protection. Maximus Global LTD operates under offshore regulation in the Seychelles, Nord Premium LTD operates under offshore regulation in Mauritius, and NordFX LTD is registered in Saint Lucia. None of these entities provides statutory investor compensation.

Quick Verdict: Is NordFX Worth It?

NordFX makes the most sense for experienced MT4 or MT5 traders who are comfortable with offshore regulation and want high leverage, flexible funding, and a choice between commission-free and raw-spread accounts. It is a weaker choice for traders who want first-tier regulation, statutory compensation protection, direct share ownership, cTrader, or TradingView integration.

Who NordFX Is Best For

  • Forex traders who already know MT4 or MT5 and want a familiar execution environment.
  • Traders who want to start with $10 on an MT4 Pro account.
  • Active traders who prefer Zero pricing with spreads from 0.0 pips and ECN liquidity.
  • Clients who want to fund with cards, e-wallets, USDT, USDC, Bitcoin, Binance Pay, or supported local payment systems.
  • Traders who use scalping, hedging, Expert Advisors, news trading, copy trading, VPS hosting, or API trading.

Who Should Avoid NordFX

  • Traders who require a major first-tier regulator and a statutory investor compensation fund.
  • Long-term investors who want to own real shares instead of trading stock CFDs.
  • Traders who specifically need cTrader, TradingView integration, or a current NordFX proprietary mobile app.
  • Occasional traders who may leave a funded account inactive for more than 365 days.
Pros
  • $10 minimum deposit on MT4 Pro
  • MT4 and MT5 on desktop and mobile
  • Maximum leverage up to 1:1000
  • Crypto funding and several local payment methods
  • Scalping, hedging, EAs, copy trading, and social trading supported
Cons
  • Offshore regulation with no statutory investor compensation scheme
  • No cTrader or TradingView integration
  • $10 monthly inactivity fee after 365 days of inactivity
  • Share trading is through CFDs, not direct stock ownership

What Is NordFX?

Company Background

NordFX was founded in 2008 and is privately held. Its current group structure includes NordFX LTD in Saint Lucia, Maximus Global LTD in the Seychelles, and Nord Premium LTD in Mauritius.

NordFX LTD is registered in Saint Lucia under number 2023-00470. The Seychelles Financial Services Authority regulates Maximus Global LTD as a Securities Dealer under license SD065. Nord Premium LTD is regulated by the Mauritius Financial Services Commission as an Investment Dealer under license GB24204016.

The broker uses an STP and ECN trading model rather than a proprietary trading terminal. Current live accounts use USD as the balance currency and route trading through MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5.

Available Countries

NordFX serves many international markets, but access depends on residency, local law, and the entity accepting the account. NordFX LTD excludes residents of the USA, Canada, EU, Russian Federation, Cuba, Sudan, Syria, Malaysia, Panama, Indonesia, Japan, Brazil, Ukraine, North Korea, and Myanmar.

India needs separate attention. NordFX accepts INR deposits and withdrawals for Indian clients and does not include India among its restricted countries. However, the Reserve Bank of India Alert List, updated on November 19, 2025, includes NordFX and www.nordfx.com among entities that are not authorized to deal in forex or to operate an authorized electronic trading platform in India. The presence of UPI, PayTM, GPay, PhonePe, bank transfer, or IMPS options should not be treated as local regulatory authorization.

NordFX Fees and Costs

3.75/5

Trading Fees

NordFX has two main pricing structures. Pro accounts charge no separate FX commission, so the trading cost is primarily the spread. Zero accounts start from 0.0 pips and charge 0.0035% per trade on each side. On a $100,000 standard forex lot, 0.0035% equals about $3.50 per side, or about $7 for round-turn commission before spread and slippage.

The minimum trade size is 0.01 lot. Scalping, hedging, news trading, and Expert Advisors are allowed. For short-term strategies, the relevant number is the all-in cost after spread, commission, and execution, not the minimum spread in isolation.

Spreads and Commissions

EUR/USD: The weighted average spread in our test was 1.2 pips. That is acceptable for commission-free pricing, but it is not raw-spread pricing.

GBP/USD: The average spread was 1.51 pips, making it more expensive than EUR/USD and more sensitive to session liquidity.

XAU/USD: The average spread was 19 pips. Frequent gold traders should monitor the live spread closely because trading cost rises quickly with larger position sizes.

S&P 500 CFD: The average spread was 45 pips. Contract terms and holding time matter more for short-term index trading.

Pro accounts: Pricing starts from 10 pips with $0 FX commission. The 10-pip minimum does not match the tighter major-pair averages recorded in our test, so live pricing should be checked before trading.

Zero accounts: Pricing starts from 0.0 pips plus 0.0035% commission on each side. This structure is easier to compare on an all-in active-trading basis.

Deposit and Withdrawal Fees

NordFX does not have one universal funding fee. Visa and Mastercard deposits have no broker fee and are normally processed almost instantly. USDT, USDC, Bitcoin, and Binance Pay deposits also have no broker fee, with timing based on blockchain confirmation.

Skrill deposits below $20 cost $1.50, while deposits above $20 have no fee. Neteller deposits below $40 cost $1.50, while deposits above $40 incur a 4% charge. This makes Neteller notably less attractive for larger deposits than the other electronic methods available.

Withdrawal charges depend on the method. Skrill costs 1% with a minimum charge of $0.50, while Neteller costs 2% with a $1 minimum. NordFX charges no broker fee for the supported crypto withdrawal methods. Local withdrawal fees range from 1.5% to 4% in several markets, including 4% for India bank transfer and IMPS, 3% for Bangladesh bKash and Nagad, 1.5% for supported Philippines methods, 2% for Sri Lanka methods, and 1.5% for Vietnam bank transfer.

Inactivity and Account Fees

NordFX charges $10 per month when an account has had no transactions for 365 calendar days and all positions are closed. Charging starts on the first day of the next calendar month. The fee is taken from the client's own funds, and a shortfall can be collected from another NordFX account belonging to the same client.

This is not a minor fee for a dormant account. Twelve months of continued inactivity after the fee starts can cost $120. Traders who stop using the broker should withdraw unused funds rather than leaving a balance unattended.

Bonus and Promotions

There is no standard welcome bonus or general deposit bonus in the core account setup. NordFX currently runs a Margin Call Bonus program for eligible Pro accounts after completing KYC.

The amount is based on completed trading volume before the margin call. The scale is $5 per lot from 2 to 5 lots, $7 above 5 to 10 lots, $10 above 10 to 50 lots, $12 above 50 to 100 lots, and $15 above 100 lots. Only completed eligible trades count.

The bonus is non-withdrawable, limited to one bonus per account, and capped at $5,000. The request must be submitted within 24 business hours after the margin call. NordFX can refuse, suspend, or remove the bonus if it considers the program rules abused. This should be treated as conditional margin support, not trading income.

Currency Conversion Fees

NordFX accounts use USD as the base currency. NordFX does not charge a separate fixed currency-conversion fee. A conversion cost can still arise when the funding currency, withdrawal currency, or another account balance differs from USD.

Certain internal deductions can be converted at the NordFX current exchange rate. A trader funding in another currency should therefore consider the exchange rate used even when there is no separate conversion fee line.

Overnight and Swap Fees

Positions held through rollover can incur positive or negative swap depending on the instrument and trade direction. The live contract specification should be checked before holding leveraged positions overnight because swap rates can change.

Swap-free status is available to eligible clients on religious grounds, but it is not the same as unlimited free overnight holding. Storage charges can apply after a set period. On many forex pairs, MT4 Pro swap-free accounts incur a $10 per lot daily storage fee from day 8, with separate rates and starting days for selected currencies, metals, energies, indices, stock CFDs, and crypto CFDs.

NordFX Account Types

4.25/5

MT4 Pro Account

MT4 Pro is the lowest-cost entry point, with a $10 minimum deposit. MT4 Pro starts from 10 pips, offers maximum leverage up to 1:1000, charges $0 FX commission, and uses USD as the account currency. Available markets include forex, metals, energies, indices, cryptocurrency CFDs, and stock CFDs.

This account is best for a trader who wants simple commission-free MT4 pricing and a very small starting balance. The weakness is the gap between the 10-pip minimum and the tighter major-pair averages recorded in our test. Live Market Watch pricing should be checked before deciding that Pro is cheaper than Zero.

MT4 Zero Account

MT4 Zero requires $100. It offers spreads from 0.0 pips, ECN access to interbank liquidity, leverage up to 1:1000, and a 0.0035% commission on each side of the trade.

The structure is more suitable for active traders who want to separate spread from commission. The higher minimum deposit is still modest compared with many raw-spread accounts, but every strategy should be tested on total round-turn cost rather than the 0.0-pip minimum.

MT5 Pro Account

MT5 Pro has a $50 minimum deposit and no separate FX commission. Maximum leverage is up to 1:1000, and the account pays 3.8% annual interest on free margin.

MT5 Pro is the stronger Pro option for traders who need 21 timeframes, market depth, an economic calendar, more analytical tools, and the broader MT5 order set. The free margin interest feature is an account feature, not deposit insurance or an investor protection scheme.

MT5 Zero Account

MT5 Zero has the highest current minimum deposit at $200. Pricing starts from 0.0 pips with 0.0035% commission on each side, and the account provides ECN liquidity, leverage up to 1:1000, and 3.8% annual interest on free margin.

This is the most complete NordFX configuration for active MetaTrader users. It is still worth comparing against other raw accounts because a 0.0-pip minimum does not guarantee the lowest average all-in cost.

Demo and Swap-Free Accounts

Demo accounts are available on both MT4 and MT5. They are useful for checking platform layout, Expert Advisors, order types, and strategy behavior before risking money. Swap-free status is also available for eligible clients, subject to verification and storage fee rules on longer held positions.

How to Open an Account with NordFX

4.25/5

Signup Process

Opening an account starts through the NordFX private area. The trader enters personal details, selects an account type and platform, receives trading credentials, and funds the account. New registrations use the newer private area, while legacy accounts still have a separate older login route.

The process is straightforward because NordFX does not require documents at the initial registration step. That should not be confused with a fully verified account, which becomes important before withdrawal.

Verification Requirements

NordFX accepts a valid passport, national identity card, or driving license for identity verification. Proof of address can include a utility bill, bank or credit card statement, or bank reference. Address documents are normally required to be no more than three months old.

Card payments add an ownership check because cards must be in the client's name. NordFX can request card copies with the middle card number digits and CVV hidden while the required identifying digits remain visible.

The most preventable KYC delays came from mismatched names or addresses, expired documents, unclear images, and third-party payment details. Keeping the trading profile, ID, address document, and payment account consistent is the cleanest setup.

Minimum Deposit

The broker-wide minimum is $10 on MT4 Pro. MT5 Pro requires $50, MT4 Zero requires $100, and MT5 Zero requires $200. The low entry point is useful for testing live conditions with limited capital, although it does not reduce the percentage risk created by excessive leverage.

How Long Account Approval Takes

NordFX does not provide one fixed public KYC approval time that applies to every client. Registration is fast because documents are not needed at the first step, but a withdrawal requires a fully verified account.

Clean documents can move through the process more smoothly, while expired ID, old proof of address, third-party funding, or inconsistent personal data can require additional checks. Traders should complete verification before depositing an amount they would need to withdraw urgently.

Markets and Assets Available

2.45/5

Forex

NordFX offers more than 30 forex pairs, including major pairs and a selection of crosses. The minimum position size is 0.01 lot. Maximum leverage reaches 1:1000, while the margin-call and stop-out levels are 40% and 20%.

Forex is the broker's most natural market because both Pro and Zero pricing, MetaTrader automation, hedging, scalping, and copy trading are built around short-term leveraged trading.

Cryptocurrency CFDs

Crypto CFDs include major assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, and Litecoin. NordFX also accepts several cryptocurrencies for funding, but the trading instrument and the funding asset are separate. A BTC/USD or ETH/USD CFD position does not give the trader ownership or onchain withdrawal rights to the underlying cryptocurrency.

Metals and Energies

Gold and silver are available together with energy CFDs such as UK oil, US oil, and natural gas. These instruments can move sharply around data releases and supply events. Traders should size positions from risk tolerance rather than from the maximum leverage available.

Indices

The index range includes markets such as US30, US500, USTEC, UK100, DE40, FR40, JP225, HK50, AUS200, STOXX50, and the US Dollar Index. Trading hours, margin, contract size, spread, and financing vary by symbol.

Stock CFDs

NordFX provides stock CFDs on large companies such as Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, Microsoft, Nvidia, Tesla, Meta, Visa, Exxon Mobil, and others. These positions provide leveraged price exposure rather than legal ownership of the shares.

NordFX does not offer a dedicated account for real stocks. Long-term investors who want direct shares, custody rights, or voting rights should use a broker designed for real securities ownership.

Trading Platforms and Tools

4.25/5

MetaTrader 5

MT5 is the stronger NordFX platform for multi-asset trading. It is available on desktop and mobile and includes more than 80 technical indicators and tools, 21 timeframes, algorithmic trading, custom indicators and scripts, an economic calendar, market depth, and detailed trading reports.

Order choice is also broader than MT4. MT5 supports Market Orders and six main pending orders: Buy Limit, Sell Limit, Buy Stop, Sell Stop, Buy Stop Limit, and Sell Stop Limit. Stop Loss and Take Profit are available for exit management.

In our platform check, MT5 was the better fit for multi-chart work and traders who need Stop Limit entries. Fast market orders still remain subject to the available market price, so Stop Loss and pending prices should not be treated as guaranteed fill prices during gaps.

MetaTrader 4

MT4 remains a practical choice for forex traders with established Expert Advisors or a simple chart workflow. NordFX supports market execution functions, technical analysis, custom indicators, scripts, and news feeds.

MT4 uses the four standard pending entries: Buy Limit, Sell Limit, Buy Stop, and Sell Stop. Market orders, Stop Loss, and Take Profit are also supported. It does not provide the Buy Stop Limit and Sell Stop Limit order types available in MT5.

Social Trading, Automation, API, and VPS

NordFX supports social trading and copy trading alongside MetaTrader Expert Advisors, API trading, and VPS hosting. Subscribers can copy a selected provider's trades automatically, while providers can receive a performance fee under the social trading model.

This gives NordFX a useful automation range, but the platform stack is still narrow. There is no current NordFX proprietary terminal, cTrader, or TradingView integration. Traders who depend on advanced external charting or order flow tools will need a separate workflow.

Research and Charting Tools

NordFX research includes market analysis, trading signals, economic news, market insights, and a trading calculator. MT5 adds an integrated economic calendar and market depth, while MT4 and MT5 both support custom technical indicators and scripts.

The research package is useful for daily market preparation but is not a replacement for a full research terminal. Our platform test found it most effective when used as context around a trader's own charting, risk limits, and event calendar.

Educational Resources

Educational material includes the Learning Center, Trading Glossary, Crypto Glossary, Useful Articles, Getting Started content, general trading guides, and gold trading material. It explains basic concepts and platform use in simple terms.

The main education gap is the same issue that applies to many high-leverage brokers. Beginners need stronger independent training on position sizing, drawdown, margin, and stop-out mechanics before using leverage anywhere close to 1:1000.

NordFX Deposits and Withdrawals

3.75/5

Payment Methods

General payment choices include Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, USDT on TRC20, BEP20, and ERC20, USDC on BEP20 and ERC20, Bitcoin, and Binance Pay. Local payment options depend on the country.

Examples include bKash and Nagad in Bangladesh; UnionPay, Alipay, and WeChat Pay for China related markets; UPI, PayTM, GPay, and PhonePe in India; JazzCash and EasyPaisa in Pakistan; GCash, PayMaya, InstaPay, and PESONet in the Philippines; UPay and iPay in Sri Lanka; and VietQR, MoMo, and ZaloPay in Vietnam.

The range is broad and practical. The main mistake to avoid is choosing a deposit method without checking its withdrawal fee and withdrawal eligibility first.

Deposit Times

Cards, Skrill, Neteller, and many local e-wallet deposits are normally processed almost instantly. Crypto funding depends on blockchain confirmation. Some local bank methods take up to 24 hours.

In our funding process check, the trading account side was simple once a payment cleared. The variable part is the external network or local payment rail, so an instant label should be read as the normal transfer period rather than a guarantee under every payment review.

Withdrawal Times

NordFX processes withdrawal requests during business hours from 9:00 to 18:00 CET and does not process them on weekends or holidays. NordFX normally processes withdrawals within one business day, with a maximum internal processing period of five business days. Third-party providers can add further delay.

Skrill and Neteller withdrawals are normally completed almost instantly after NordFX processes the request. Crypto withdrawals depend on the blockchain. Where card withdrawal is available, processing takes about 5 to 6 business days, while bank wire withdrawals take about 3 to 5 business days. Local bank withdrawals often take up to 24 hours.

Our withdrawal test favors e-wallet or crypto methods for speed, but only when the same source and account-ownership rules are satisfied. A fast payment network does not bypass KYC or AML checks.

Withdrawal Limits

NordFX does not use one universal withdrawal cap for every payment method. Method-specific minimums and maximums can apply in the private area. If positions are open, the client cannot withdraw the full available balance because enough funds must remain to cover required margin.

With open positions, the maximum withdrawal equals available balance minus maintenance margin, and margin must remain at least 1%. Source-of-funds rules can also affect the permitted withdrawal method, and additional documents may be requested before funds are released.

NordFX Customer Support Review

3.4/5

Support Channels

NordFX provides live chat, email, phone, and ticket support. The main support email is [email protected]. Bengali and English phone support is available at +44 7458164424. Missing transfer cases can be escalated to [email protected] after the normal transfer notification process.

Response Times

Our support test showed a live chat response in about 1 minute. Phone contact took about 1 to 3 minutes, while email and ticket responses arrived in roughly 2 to 6 hours. Current phone support hours are 24/5.

Those times are competitive for weekday account support. The limitation is weekend coverage, especially for clients who use crypto funding while forex support is closed.

Support Quality

Basic platform, funding, and account questions were handled directly during our review. Live chat is the most efficient first contact for routine issues. AML, promotion, or withdrawal disputes can require escalation to finance or compliance and may not be settled in the first interaction.

NordFX also responds publicly to 100% of negative Trustpilot reviews and typically responds within 24 hours. That indicates a consistent response process, although a fast reply is not the same thing as a favorable dispute outcome.

Languages Available

NordFX provides support content in English, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Sinhala, Chinese, Arabic, Persian, Vietnamese, Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Japanese, Ukrainian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Turkish, and Filipino. Direct phone support is available in Bengali and English, while separate QQ support is available for clients in China.

NordFX User Reviews and Complaints

Positive User Reviews

NordFX currently has a 4.4 out of 5 Trustpilot score from 73 reviews. The rating mix is 71% 5-star, 17% 4-star, 4% 3-star, 0% 2-star, and 8% 1-star.

Positive comments most often focus on withdrawal speed, verification, MT4 or MT5 stability, customer support, and copy trading. Several reviewers specifically mention fast crypto withdrawals. These experiences match the broker's strongest operational areas, but they remain individual user reports rather than guaranteed service levels.

“instant withdrawal and easy verification. Best broker.”

Negative User Reviews

The smaller negative group raises more serious issues. One 2025 reviewer disputed removal of a $900 partner incentive connected with a referred client who deposited $20,000 USDT. NordFX replied that the referred account had not generated the trading volume expected under the promotion and said the incentive could be restored after the required activity was reached.

A 2026 Trustpilot reviewer also warned Indian users that NordFX was on the Reserve Bank of India Alert List. That specific regulatory point is verifiable. The current RBI list, updated on November 19, 2025, includes NordFX and www.nordfx.com at number 95.

“Frode company Grab your hard money Do not deposite your hard money”

Common NordFX Complaints

  • Promotion and bonus conditions can be restrictive.
  • Regulatory availability varies by country.
  • The proprietary mobile app is no longer available.
  • Some trading information may not always be fully consistent across older pages.

Trustpilot and App Store Ratings

Platform Rating Review Count Our Takeaway
Trustpilot 4.4/5 73 Mostly positive, but the sample is modest and includes important promotion and jurisdiction complaints.
Apple App Store Not currently available Not available The official NordFX legacy App Store link currently returns 404, so there is no current proprietary iOS rating to use.
Google Play Not currently available Not available The official legacy Google Play link also returns 404. Current mobile trading should be judged through MT4 and MT5.

Verification Issues

Verification is not a dominant complaint in the current Trustpilot sample. One recent reviewer specifically described verification as easy. The more predictable issues come from NordFX's KYC rules, including expired ID, proof of address older than three months, unclear document images, third-party cards, or mismatched personal information.

Withdrawals require a fully verified account, so the sensible workflow is to complete KYC before allowing a large balance to build up.

Platform Problems

The current Trustpilot sample does not contain a repeated pattern of MT4 or MT5 instability. One verified reviewer described the platform experience positively:

“Platform is smooth and support team is helpful.”

The more concrete platform complaint concerns the old NordFX proprietary mobile app:

“But play store aap not available”

Our check confirms the availability issue. The proprietary NordFX Android and iOS apps are unavailable, and direct store checks return 404. In 2026, traders should treat MT4 and MT5 mobile as the supported mobile route rather than opening an account for a separate NordFX app.

Best NordFX Alternative

Best Alternative for Beginners

XM is a stronger beginner alternative for traders who want a lower entry point and a more structured learning path around MT4 and MT5. Many XM accounts can start from $5, compared with $10 for NordFX MT4 Pro.

NordFX is more appealing when crypto funding, local Asian payment methods, or leverage up to 1:1000 are the priority. XM is the better fit when a new trader values a simpler learning path and, in eligible regions, access to a dedicated Shares Account for real shares rather than only stock CFDs.

Best Alternative for Low Fees

IC Markets is the stronger low-fee alternative for active forex traders. Its Raw Spread account starts from 0.0 pips, with an average EUR/USD spread of around 0.1 pip and a commission of $3.50 per lot on each side.

NordFX Zero also starts from 0.0 pips, and its 0.0035% commission on each side works out to about $7 in round-turn commission on a $100,000 standard lot. NordFX has the lower MT4 Zero minimum deposit at $100 versus $200 at IC Markets, but IC Markets provides a more established raw-spread benchmark for active traders. The better choice depends on the actual all-in cost for the pairs and sessions traded most often.

Best Alternative for Advanced Traders

Eightcap is a stronger alternative for advanced traders who want more platform flexibility. It supports MT4, MT5, TradingView, and TradeLocker, alongside raw-spread pricing for active trading.

NordFX remains competitive for Expert Advisors, VPS hosting, API trading, and copy trading. Eightcap is the better fit for traders who value TradingView integration, broader platform choice, and an execution-focused environment.

Best Alternative for Forex or CFD Trading

Tickmill is a stronger forex and CFD alternative for active traders who prioritize raw pricing, MetaTrader, TradingView, and algorithmic trading tools.

NordFX offers lower entry requirements, crypto funding, and leverage up to 1:1000. Tickmill is the better fit for traders who place greater emphasis on raw forex pricing, execution tools, and a broader regulatory framework.

How NordFX Compares for Different Traders

NordFX for Beginners

NordFX is easy to access because MT4 Pro starts at $10 and demo accounts are available. Basic educational material also covers platform use and trading terminology.

The bigger beginner issue is risk control. Maximum leverage of 1:1000 can make a very small account behave aggressively if position size is too large. A beginner should use the demo account, trade the minimum practical size, and treat available leverage as a ceiling rather than a target.

NordFX for Day Trading

NordFX is better suited to day trading than passive investing. Scalping, hedging, news trading, EAs, and 0.01 lot sizing are permitted. Zero accounts can start from 0.0 pips and separate commission from spread.

Our fast market check also showed why average spreads are not enough for day traders. Spreads can widen, and fills can slip in either direction when liquidity changes. Position size and stop distance should account for execution variability, especially around news.

NordFX for Forex Trading

Forex is the strongest part of the NordFX offer. Traders get more than 30 pairs, Pro and Zero pricing, MT4 and MT5, copy trading, automation, and leverage up to 1:1000. Pro is simpler for traders who do not want a separate commission, while Zero is easier to evaluate for active trading based on spread plus commission.

The tradeoff is regulation. NordFX relies on offshore Seychelles FSA and Mauritius FSC oversight and does not provide a statutory investor compensation scheme.

NordFX for Long-Term Investors

NordFX is not a strong long-term investing broker. Stock exposure is through CFDs; overnight costs or storage charges can apply, and the account structure is designed for leveraged trading rather than securities custody.

Investors who want direct ownership, voting rights, long-term custody, or a real share portfolio should use a broker with a dedicated securities account.

NordFX for Crypto Trading

NordFX is useful for traders who want crypto CFDs and crypto-based funding inside the same broker account. USDT, USDC, Bitcoin, and Binance Pay are supported funding methods, and NordFX charges no broker fee on supported crypto withdrawals.

This remains CFD trading. The trader does not receive the underlying coin from a BTC/USD or ETH/USD position. NordFX should not be treated as a spot crypto exchange or self-custody wallet.

Is NordFX Safe and Legit?

2.15/5

Licensing and Regulation

The Seychelles Financial Services Authority regulates Maximus Global LTD as a Securities Dealer under license SD065. Nord Premium LTD is regulated by the Mauritius Financial Services Commission as an Investment Dealer under license GB24204016. NordFX LTD is registered in Saint Lucia under number 2023-00470.

The distinction matters. A Saint Lucia company registration is not the same as a securities dealer license. The Seychelles and Mauritius authorizations provide a regulatory framework, but both are offshore tier-3 jurisdictions. Traders who want stronger retail compensation and supervisory protections should compare NordFX with brokers regulated in major first-tier markets.

Security Features

NordFX uses KYC and AML checks, payment ownership controls, segregated client fund arrangements, and MetaTrader account security. The private area also supports restricting access by IP address.

Client behavior still matters. Unique passwords, protected email access, correct payment details, and keeping trading credentials away from unverified third parties remain basic safeguards.

Investor Protection

No statutory investor compensation scheme applies to Maximus Global LTD or Nord Premium LTD, giving statutory compensation coverage of $0. This is the clearest weakness in the safety profile.

Segregated funds and negative balance protection are useful, but they serve different purposes. Neither creates the same backstop as a funded investor compensation scheme if a broker entity becomes insolvent.

Negative Balance Protection

Negative balance protection is available and can limit the risk of owing more than the trading account balance after a sharp market gap. NordFX can make account adjustments in cases involving prohibited trading behavior, abuse, or breaches of account conditions.

Negative balance protection should therefore be viewed as a retail risk control, not a waiver of liabilities arising from prohibited trading, abuse, or breaches of account conditions.

Segregated Client Funds

NordFX keeps client funds in segregated client accounts rather than treating them as normal company operating funds. Client money can be pooled with funds belonging to other customers inside the segregated account.

Segregation reduces the risk of routine operational mixing, but it is not deposit insurance and does not replace statutory compensation protection.

Final Verdict

NordFX is a functional offshore MetaTrader broker for traders who prioritize a low $10 entry point, leverage up to 1:1000, zero pricing from 0.0 pips, crypto funding, local payment systems, copy trading, and MT4 or MT5 automation. Its best use case is active forex and CFD trading.

The limitations are equally clear. Regulation is offshore, statutory investor compensation is $0, several withdrawal routes charge percentage fees, dormant accounts can incur $10 per month after 365 days, and the old proprietary mobile app links are no longer live. The current Pro spread presentation also needs more consistency with observed trading costs.

For an experienced trader who understands these tradeoffs and checks live costs before funding, NordFX can provide a flexible trading setup. Traders who prioritize first-tier protection, direct share ownership, or a broader platform choice should use one of the alternatives above.

NordFX Review FAQs

What is the minimum deposit at NordFX?

The lowest minimum deposit is $10 on MT4 Pro. MT5 Pro requires $50, MT4 Zero requires $100, and MT5 Zero requires $200.

Does NordFX offer MT4 and MT5?

Yes. NordFX supports MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 on desktop and mobile. MT5 provides 21 timeframes, more than 80 indicators and tools, market depth, an economic calendar, and six main pending order types.

Is NordFX regulated?

Yes. Maximus Global LTD is regulated by the Seychelles FSA under Securities Dealer license SD065, and Nord Premium LTD is regulated by the Mauritius FSC under Investment Dealer license GB24204016. NordFX LTD is registered in Saint Lucia under number 2023-00470.

How much leverage does NordFX offer?

Maximum leverage reaches 1:1000 on the current Pro and Zero accounts, subject to instrument and account conditions. Higher leverage reduces required margin but also increases the rate at which losses can reduce equity.
