Orbex Review Summary
Orbex is a forex and CFD broker founded in 2011. Trading runs through MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, with access to more than 400 CFDs across forex, stock CFDs, indices, futures, metals, commodities, and cryptocurrencies. The live-account lineup consists of Starter, Premium, and Ultimate, with minimum deposits of $100, $500, and $25,000 respectively.
Orbex combines NDD execution, raw-spread pricing on higher-tier accounts, Expert Advisors, copy trading, PAMM, Trading Central, API access, and VPS hosting. Forex leverage reaches 1:500 at lower active trading volumes and falls as aggregate exposure rises. This volume-based leverage structure matters for high-volume traders because margin requirements increase as open exposure crosses the broker's leverage thresholds.
The strongest value sits in the Premium account. It requires $500, starts from 0.0-pip spreads, and charges $8 round turn per standard lot. Ultimate lowers the round-turn commission to $5, but the $25,000 deposit requirement targets high-capital and high-volume traders rather than ordinary retail accounts.
Quick Verdict: Is Orbex Worth It?
Orbex is worth considering for traders who want MT4 or MT5, Expert Advisors, raw-spread pricing, Trading Central, and a research-heavy MetaTrader setup. Starter keeps forex pricing commission-free, while Premium separates the raw-spread from commission and gives active traders a clearer all-in cost structure.
The main trade-off is regulatory strength. Orbex Global Limited operates under Mauritius FSC supervision, and Orbex Limited holds a Seychelles FSA Securities Dealer license. Orbex also identifies a Saint Lucia operating company registered under number 2025-00714 IBC. These entities provide formal oversight and corporate registration, but they do not create the same statutory investor-compensation framework associated with major first-tier markets.

What Is Orbex?
Company Background
Orbex began operating in 2011 as a privately held forex and CFD broker. The trading setup uses ECN/STP infrastructure with NDD execution and centers on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 rather than an in-house trading terminal. Server time follows GMT+2 and moves to GMT+3 for daylight-saving time.
Orbex Global Limited is authorized and regulated by the Mauritius Financial Services Commission. The Seychelles Financial Services Authority regulates Orbex Limited as a Securities Dealer under license SD110. Orbex also identifies Orbex Limited in Saint Lucia under registration number 2025-00714 IBC, while Orbex Services LTD in Cyprus acts as a payment operator for Orbex companies.
The group structure matters because the entity accepting the account determines the regulatory framework. International traders should focus on the contracting entity, leverage terms, complaints process, and account protections rather than treating every Orbex company as one identical legal setup.
Available Countries
Orbex serves traders across many international markets but excludes specific jurisdictions. Restrictions include the USA, Iran, North Korea, Mauritius, Russia, Myanmar, and Romania. Additional restrictions include Japan and Indonesia for selected onboarding flows and entities.
Residency and legal-entity availability determine account access. A locally available payment method does not override a jurisdiction restriction.
Orbex Fees and Costs
Trading Fees
Orbex uses three main forex pricing levels. Starter charges $0 forex commission and places most transaction cost inside the floating spread. Premium and Ultimate use raw-spread pricing from 0.0 pips with a separate round-turn commission.
Premium charges $8 per standard lot round turn, while Ultimate charges $5. A trader completing 100 standard-lot round-trip trades pays $800 in Premium commission or $500 in Ultimate commission before spread and financing costs. The $300 difference matters at high-volume, but Ultimate requires $24,500 more initial capital than Premium.
Premium gives most active traders the strongest cost-to-capital balance. Ultimate becomes more attractive when sustained trading volume produces enough commission savings to justify the $25,000 entry requirement.
Spreads and Commissions
Our spread check recorded average spreads of 1.5 pips on EUR/USD, 1.8 pips on GBP/USD, 38 points on XAU/USD, and 1.7 points on the S&P 500 CFD. The starter uses floating spread-based pricing with no separate forex commission. Premium and Ultimate start from 0.0 pips.
Premium adds an $8 round-turn commission per standard lot, while Ultimate adds $5. A 1.0-lot Premium forex trade therefore needs to recover the live spread plus $8 before the transaction reaches break-even.
Spread width changes with liquidity and volatility. Market and stop orders also remain exposed to slippage when the requested quote disappears before execution. Short-term traders should judge Orbex from actual all-in cost rather than the minimum spread alone.
Deposit and Withdrawal Fees
Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, Knet, ZainCash, standard USDT payments, and bank wire carry 0% Orbex deposit and withdrawal fees. USDT deposits below the equivalent of 50 USDT incur payment-processor charges.
Zotapay is the expensive exception. Deposits cost 6% plus $0.50, while withdrawals cost 5% plus $2.50. A $1,000 Zotapay deposit costs $60.50, and a $1,000 withdrawal costs $52.50.
Banks, e-wallets, card providers, and blockchain processors also apply their own charges where relevant. The most efficient funding method combines low provider cost, matching account ownership, and a withdrawal method available to the same client.
Inactivity and Account Fees
Orbex charges a $20 monthly inactivity fee on dormant USD accounts after 180 consecutive days without qualifying trading or funding activity. Non-USD accounts receive the corresponding base-currency charge. The fee does not push the balance below zero.
Twelve monthly $20 charges remove $240 from a dormant USD account. Traders who stop using Orbex should withdraw unused funds instead of leaving a positive balance inactive.
Bonus and Promotions
Orbex does not use a standing welcome or deposit bonus as a core 2026 account feature. Earlier profit-match and deposit campaigns have expired.
Seasonal competitions and limited promotions remain separate from the standard Starter, Premium, and Ultimate pricing structure. Account selection should therefore focus on spread, commission, minimum deposit, platform tools, and expected trading volume rather than promotional credit.
Currency Conversion Fees
Orbex does not charge a separate standard currency conversion fee. Account and wallet currencies include USD, EUR, GBP, and PLN.
Conversion still affects funding when the payment currency differs from the wallet or trading-account currency. The bank, card processor, or e-wallet applies its exchange rate and provider fee where relevant.
Overnight and Swap Fees
Forex, metals, cash indices, and other eligible CFDs incur overnight swap charges when held through rollover. The amount varies by symbol, trade direction, and rollover day. Multi-day traders therefore need to include financing costs in the trade plan.
Islamic accounts provide swap-free conditions for eligible clients. Swap-free removes conventional rollover interest on qualifying positions but does not remove spreads, commissions, or other transaction costs.
Futures CFDs follow contract expiry rather than the same cash-CFD rollover structure. The contract type matters when comparing holding costs across several trading sessions.
Orbex Account Types
Starter Account
Starter requires $100. Forex pricing is commission-free with variable spreads; trade size starts from 0.01 lot; margin call is 100%, and stop-out is 20%. Leverage reaches 1:500 at lower active trading volumes.
Starter suits beginners and lower-frequency traders who prefer one visible spread cost rather than a separate forex commission. Trading Central, Expert Advisors, education, and the broader Orbex CFD range remain part of the setup.
Premium Account
Premium requires $500 and starts from 0.0-pip raw spreads. The forex round-turn commission is $8 per standard lot. Minimum trade size is 0.01 lot, margin call is 100%, and stop-out is 20%.
Premium also adds advanced education, exclusive webinars, and one one-on-one analyst training session. This is the strongest Orbex account for most active forex traders because the pricing is already raw-spread based without Ultimate's five-figure deposit requirement.
Ultimate Account
Ultimate requires $25,000. Raw spreads start from 0.0 pips and the forex round-turn commission falls to $5 per standard lot. The minimum trade size remains 0.01 lot, with a 100% margin call and 20% stop-out level.
Ultimate includes advanced education, exclusive webinars, and three one-on-one analyst sessions. The lower commission targets high-volume traders whose sustained activity makes the $3-per-lot saving against Premium meaningful.
Demo Account
Orbex provides MetaTrader demo accounts with virtual balances up to $5 million. The demo environment supports platform learning, Expert Advisor setup, indicator work, order practice, and strategy development without real-money exposure.
Live trading adds market slippage, payment verification, real liquidity, and financial risk. Demo performance therefore serves as platform preparation rather than proof of live-account results.
Islamic Account
Islamic accounts provide swap-free trading for eligible clients. The account keeps the MetaTrader workflow while removing conventional rollover interest on qualifying positions.
Swap-free status does not create commission-free pricing. The underlying Starter, Premium, or Ultimate spread and commission structure still applies.
PAMM and Copy Trading
Orbex supports PAMM and copy-trading services. Copy-trading followers replicate selected strategy providers, while PAMM investors allocate capital to a manager under the manager's offer terms.
These services reduce manual trade placement but do not remove market risk. Manager performance, leverage, slippage, fees, and drawdown still determine the investment outcome.
How to Open an Account with Orbex
Signup Process
Registration starts with personal details and email verification. The trader then enters MyOrbex, completes the suitability questionnaire, uploads KYC documents, selects an account type, creates an Orbex Wallet, and funds the trading account.
The account-opening flow separates Wallet funds from trading margin. Cash held in the Wallet remains outside the trading account until an internal transfer moves it into available margin.
Verification Requirements
Identity verification accepts a passport, national identity card, driver's license, residency card, and selected regional identification documents. Documents must be clear, valid, fully visible, and consistent with the registration details.
Proof of residence includes a bank statement, tax document, government address certificate, or utility bill issued within the required validity period. Payment ownership and source-of-funds evidence form part of enhanced checks where relevant.
Third-party deposits are not accepted. Mismatched names, expired identification, unclear scans, and outdated address records create the most avoidable verification problems.
Minimum Deposit
Starter requires $100, Premium $500, and Ultimate $25,000. The minimum trade size across the three main accounts is 0.01 lot.
The $100 entry point is suitable for checking live conditions at small size, but 1:500 leverage requires strict position control. Maximum leverage is a margin ceiling rather than a sensible default risk setting.
How Long Account Approval Takes
Registration takes only a few minutes. Clean identity and residence documents produce the fastest approval path, while name mismatches, unclear images, unsupported residency, and source-of-funds checks extend the process.
Completing KYC before a time-sensitive withdrawal reduces friction later because the account already has the required identity and payment-ownership record.
Markets and Assets Available
Forex
Orbex offers more than 40 forex pairs with a minimum trade size of 0.01 lot. Major-pair contract size is 100,000 units per standard lot.
Forex leverage is volume-based. From 0 to 19.99 active lots, leverage is 1:500. From 20 to 39.99 active lots, the ceiling drops to 1:300. At 40 or more active lots, the ceiling drops to 1:100.
The automatic reduction increases margin requirements as aggregate exposure rises. High-volume traders should calculate margin from total active volume rather than assuming every position remains at 1:500.
Stocks
Orbex provides more than 200 stock CFDs across major US, UK, and European companies. These instruments provide leveraged price exposure rather than transferable share ownership.
Stock CFDs do not provide direct voting rights or conventional securities custody. Orbex does not offer a dedicated real-stock account for investors who want direct ownership and portfolio transfers.
Indices and Futures
Index CFDs cover major benchmarks including US30, NAS 100, Germany 40, UK 100, SPX500, Australia 200, France 40, Euro 50, Spain 35, Japan 225, and Hong Kong 50.
Cash indices carry overnight financing and dividend adjustments where applicable. Futures indices expire at the contract date and use a different holding-cost structure. Index leverage reaches 1:100 on the main market range.
Metals and Commodities
Metals include gold, silver, palladium, and platinum. Commodity CFDs also cover energies and selected agricultural markets. The minimum trade size starts at 0.01 lots on eligible contracts.
Gold and energy markets respond sharply to inflation data, central-bank policy, inventories, and geopolitical events, which makes margin discipline important.
Cryptocurrencies
Cryptocurrency CFDs provide leveraged exposure to digital-asset prices without ownership of the underlying coins. Crypto leverage is 1:2, and commission is 0.5%.
USDT also works as a separate funding method. Funding with USDT does not convert a crypto CFD into an underlying coin position, and the CFD itself does not transfer to a blockchain wallet.
Leverage and Trading Limits
Forex leverage reaches 1:500 at lower active volume and falls to 1:300 and 1:100 as aggregate forex exposure rises. Indices use lower leverage, and cryptocurrency CFDs use 1:2.
Margin call is 100%, and stop-out is 20% on the main MetaTrader account structure. At the stop-out threshold, the platform liquidates positions to reduce margin pressure.
Trading Platforms and Tools
MetaTrader 4
MT4 is available on desktop, web, Android, and iOS. It includes 30 built-in technical indicators, 9 timeframes, 24 analytical objects, Expert Advisors, scripts, custom indicators, and the broader MetaTrader plugin ecosystem.
Order types include market Buy and Sell, Buy Limit, Sell Limit, Buy Stop, and Sell Stop. Stop Loss, Take Profit, and trailing stops cover the main position-management workflow.
Orbex uses an average execution benchmark of 0.03 seconds. Execution speed does not guarantee execution at the requested price, and slippage remains part of market and stop-order handling when liquidity changes.
MetaTrader 5
MT5 expands the MetaTrader environment with more than 38 built-in technical indicators, 44 analytical objects, market depth, broader multi-asset tools, and stronger strategy-development functions.
MT5 supports market Buy and Sell, Buy Limit, Sell Limit, Buy Stop, Sell Stop, Buy Stop Limit, and Sell Stop Limit. Stop Loss and Take Profit attach to positions and pending orders.
MT5 is the stronger Orbex platform for traders who monitor several asset classes or require Stop Limit orders and market depth. MT4 remains relevant for older Expert Advisors and established legacy setups.
Orbex Mobile App
The Orbex mobile app focuses on account management rather than replacing MT4 or MT5 as the main execution terminal. It handles registration, KYC upload, Face ID access, deposits, withdrawals, wallet balances, internal transfers, market analysis, and live support.
Trading itself remains centered on the MetaTrader mobile applications. This split works well for account administration but is less convenient for traders who prefer one proprietary application for both advanced charting and account management.
Copy Trading, API, and VPS
Orbex supports copy trading, PAMM, API access, and VPS hosting. These tools suit automated and semi-automated strategies that need continuous platform access or external connectivity.
Free VPS eligibility starts with a $500 balance. Monthly continuation requires at least a $500 balance and 3 closed standard lots each month. Lower-frequency traders who do not meet the trading requirement pay for their own hosting solution instead.
Research and Charting Tools
Orbex combines MetaTrader charting with Trading Central and in-house analysis. Research tools include Market Buzz, Technical Views, Economic Insight, technical setups, market scanning, alerts, economic analysis, trading calculators, and daily market commentary.
The research package is one of Orbex's strongest features. It adds structure beyond the standard MetaTrader charting environment and gives discretionary traders a useful mix of fundamental, technical, and Elliott Wave material.
Educational Resources
Education includes articles, videos, ebooks, quizzes, calculators, an economic calendar, webinars, a glossary, and structured courses. Orbex also provides a large webinar archive and analyst-led training material.
Premium and Ultimate add personalized analyst sessions. The education is strongest when combined with conservative position sizing because no training library removes the risk created by high leverage.
Orbex Deposits and Withdrawals
Payment Methods
Orbex payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, Knet, ZainCash, Zotapay, USDT on TRC20, and bank wire. Availability depends on the client's country and legal entity.
Cards and major e-wallets support several account currencies, while Knet, ZainCash, Zotapay, and bank wire support additional local currencies. The card, e-wallet, bank account, or crypto account must belong to the Orbex client.
Third-party funding is not accepted. Matching account ownership from the first deposit reduces payment-verification friction later.
Deposit Times
Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, Knet, ZainCash, Zotapay, and USDT deposits take up to 2 hours. Bank wire takes 3 to 5 business days.
Cards, e-wallets, and USDT are the faster methods for funding a trading account. Bank wire is slower but remains useful for larger transfers.
Withdrawal Times
Skrill, Neteller, Knet, ZainCash, Zotapay, and USDT withdrawals take up to 24 hours. Visa and Mastercard take 3 to 5 business days, and bank wire also takes 3 to 5 business days.
Deposited principal returns through the matching payment method under the anti-money-laundering process. Profits move through an eligible withdrawal method after the deposited amount has been returned in line with the funding history.
Withdrawal Limits
Card withdrawals have a maximum of $15,000. Other transactions have a daily maximum of $5,000. Banks, e-wallets, and payment processors also impose their own transaction limits.
Larger-balance clients need to plan withdrawals within these caps rather than relying on one large request.

Orbex Customer Support Review
Support Channels
Orbex provides live chat, email, phone, and call-back support. The main customer support email is [email protected]. Orbex Global uses +44 203 519 8140, while the Seychelles contact number is +44 203 656 5401.
Separate email contacts handle back-office, dealing, complaints, sales, finance, and partnership matters. This gives account-specific disputes a direct escalation path beyond first-line support.
Response Times
Our support check recorded a live-chat response in 1 minute, phone contact in 4 to 8 minutes, and email response within 24 hours. Support operates 24/5 from Monday through Friday.
Live chat is the fastest method for routine platform and funding questions. Email is better for payment, KYC, or execution disputes that require documents and a written case record.
Support Quality
Routine account, platform, and funding questions receive clear answers. Complex disputes require stronger evidence because a dealing or payment case depends on the exact trade ID, timestamp, statement entry, transaction receipt, or account record being challenged.
The separate dealing, complaints, and finance contacts are useful for escalation. A fast first response matters less than a complete case record when the dispute involves execution or money movement.
Languages Available
Core live support is available in English and Arabic. Turkish support and Arabic sales contacts also operate within dedicated business hours.
The language range is narrower than at several larger international brokers. Traders who require broad multilingual phone coverage have stronger alternatives.
Orbex User Reviews and Complaints
Positive User Reviews
Orbex has a 3.6 out of 5 Trustpilot score from 115 reviews. Five-star reviews account for 56% of the total, while four-star reviews account for 13%. Positive feedback focuses on execution, spreads, research, education, and customer service.
“Their execution is lightening fast and their spread is awesome”
Research is another recurring positive theme. Traders praise daily market commentary and Elliott Wave analysis, which aligns with Orbex's emphasis on Trading Central and analyst-led research.
Negative User Reviews
One-star reviews account for 26% of the Trustpilot distribution. Negative feedback centers on slippage, disputed balance adjustments, removed profits, withdrawals, commission complaints, and support escalation.
“Thousands of dollars were removed from my account without any valid explanation.”
These comments are individual allegations rather than established broker-wide facts. Orbex disputes several account-adjustment complaints and states that some reviews do not match verified client records. The complaint cluster still deserves attention because account adjustments and execution disputes involve material financial outcomes.
Common Orbex Complaints
- Slippage on market and stop orders in fast or thin trading conditions.
- Profit or balance adjustments disputed by the account holder.
- Withdrawal concerns linked to payment verification or account review.
- High commissions or transaction-cost complaints from traders using the wrong account type for their volume.
- Generic support replies in complex execution or balance disputes.
- Mobile-device compatibility problems reported by a small group of app users.
Trustpilot and App Store Ratings
Verification Issues
Verification problems center on invalid or expired documents, unclear images, mismatched names, unsupported residency, source-of-funds checks, and third-party payment attempts.
The cleanest setup uses the same legal name across the Orbex profile, identity document, proof of residence, bank card, e-wallet, and bank account. Completing KYC before building a large balance also reduces withdrawal friction.
Platform Problems
Slippage is the clearest recurring platform complaint. A 2026 Trustpilot reviewer wrote:
“They add artificial slippage to all orders.”
Orbex rejects the allegation of artificial slippage and attributes execution differences to market conditions when the requested quote is unavailable. The technical point is straightforward: market and stop orders do not guarantee the requested price.
The proper way to assess this issue is through a meaningful sample of live fills across normal and volatile sessions. A persistent one-direction slippage pattern matters more than one isolated execution.
Best Orbex Alternative
Best Alternative for Beginners
AvaTrade is the stronger beginner alternative for traders who want broader regulatory coverage, a $100 minimum deposit, MT4, MT5, AvaTradeGO, AvaSocial, and a more guided learning environment.
Orbex is stronger for Trading Central research, raw-spread account progression, and analyst-led MetaTrader education. AvaTrade is the better fit when proprietary platform choice and broader regulatory coverage matter more than raw-spread pricing.
Best Alternative for Low Fees
Tickmill is the stronger low-fee alternative for active forex traders. Its Raw account starts from 0.0 pips and charges $3 per standard lot per side, equal to $6 round turn, compared with $8 on Orbex Premium.
Orbex Ultimate is cheaper at $5 round turn, but the account requires $25,000. Tickmill gives high-frequency traders a lower raw commission without that five-figure deposit threshold, while Orbex offers the stronger in-house research and Trading Central package.
Best Alternative for Advanced Traders
Admirals is the stronger advanced-trader alternative for users who want MT4, MT5, Supreme Edition tools, broader multi-asset CFD access, and real-stock or ETF investing through Invest.MT5 where available.
Orbex is stronger for a simpler three-account pricing structure, PAMM, and analyst-led research. Admirals is the better fit for traders who need deeper MetaTrader add-ons and a clearer path from leveraged CFDs into real securities.
Best Alternative for Forex or CFD Trading
OANDA is the stronger alternative for traders who prioritize a long operating history, proprietary platform access, MT4, TradingView integration, and a $0 minimum deposit on the Standard account.
Orbex is the better fit for traders who want MT5, PAMM, Trading Central, and raw-spread Premium or Ultimate pricing. OANDA is stronger for low-entry conventional forex trading and traders who want TradingView inside the broker workflow.
How Orbex Compares for Different Traders
Orbex for Beginners
Starter is the natural beginner account. The $100 minimum deposit, commission-free forex pricing, 0.01-lot minimum, demo account, MT4, MT5, Trading Central, webinars, ebooks, quizzes, and daily analysis provide a structured learning setup.
Leverage remains the main risk. A 1:500 ceiling makes a small account highly sensitive to position size. Beginners should start with demo, trade small live positions, and keep leverage below the maximum available level.
Orbex for Day Trading
Orbex suits day trading because scalping, hedging, news trading, Expert Advisors, raw-spread accounts, and fast MetaTrader execution are available. Premium is the most practical active-trading account for many users, with spreads from 0.0 pips and an $8 round-turn commission.
Slippage is the main execution risk for short holding periods. Fast markets move fills away from the requested quote when liquidity changes, so actual execution data matters more than the minimum spread.
Orbex for Forex Trading
Forex is Orbex's strongest market. Traders get more than 40 pairs, MT4, MT5, Expert Advisors, copy trading, API access, VPS hosting, floating spreads, raw-spread accounts, and leverage up to 1:500.
Volume-based leverage is an important advanced detail. Exposure above 20 active lots reduces the ceiling to 1:300, while 40 active lots or more reduces it to 1:100. Larger strategies therefore require more margin as aggregate exposure increases.
Orbex for Long-Term Investors
Orbex is weaker for long-term investing than for leveraged trading. Stock exposure comes through CFDs rather than transferable shares, and cash CFDs incur overnight financing when held through rollover.
There is no dedicated real-stock account for conventional custody. Investors who need voting rights, share transfers, retirement investing, or a buy-and-hold securities portfolio should use a traditional investment broker.
Orbex for Crypto Trading
Orbex provides cryptocurrency CFDs with 1:2 leverage and a 0.5% commission. USDT also works separately as a deposit and withdrawal method.
This setup suits price speculation rather than crypto ownership. Traders who want private keys, self-custody, direct blockchain transfers, or decentralized applications need a crypto exchange or wallet.
Is Orbex Safe and Legit?
Licensing and Regulation
Orbex is a legitimate regulated broker group with offshore regulatory coverage. Orbex Global Limited is authorized and regulated by the Mauritius Financial Services Commission. Orbex Limited is regulated by the Seychelles Financial Services Authority as a Securities Dealer under license SD110.
Orbex also identifies an operating company in Saint Lucia under registration number 2025-00714 IBC. Saint Lucia registration is a corporate registration rather than a first-tier securities-dealer license.
Mauritius FSC and Seychelles FSA supervision provide a formal regulatory framework, but the protection level is weaker than the statutory retail frameworks associated with major first-tier jurisdictions.
Security Features
Security controls include KYC, AML checks, payment-ownership rules, encrypted data handling, segregated client funds, secured account credentials, and Face ID in the Orbex mobile app.
The Orbex Wallet adds a useful risk-control layer because funds held in the Wallet are separate from trading margin until transferred into a trading account.
Investor Protection
The Mauritius and Seychelles entities do not provide a statutory government investor-compensation fund equivalent to major first-tier compensation schemes. Statutory investor-compensation coverage for these international entities is $0.
This makes entity selection important for account size. Segregated funds, negative balance protection, and formal complaints procedures reduce specific risks, but they do not replace a funded statutory compensation scheme.
Negative Balance Protection
Negative balance protection applies to Orbex trading accounts. A sharp market move temporarily pushing equity below zero is corrected so the client does not remain liable for a negative trading balance.
Margin call is 100%, and stop-out is 20%. These controls reduce debt risk but do not protect the deposited balance from trading losses.
Segregated Client Funds
Client funds are segregated from company operating funds. This keeps customer money separate from routine corporate expenses and is a basic protection standard for a regulated broker.
Segregation is not deposit insurance. It does not remove market losses, execution risk, payment disputes, or every insolvency scenario.
Final Verdict
Orbex is a capable MetaTrader broker for traders who value research, education, automation, and a clear progression from commission-free pricing to raw spreads. Starter begins at $100, Premium at $500, and Ultimate at $25,000. Minimum trade size is 0.01 lot, forex leverage reaches 1:500 at lower active volumes, and the market range exceeds 400 CFDs.
Premium is the strongest overall account for active traders. It provides raw spreads from 0.0 pips without the $25,000 capital requirement of Ultimate. Ultimate cuts the round-turn commission from $8 to $5 per standard lot, but the saving becomes meaningful only at sustained high-volume.
The main weaknesses are offshore protection, the inactivity charge, limited platform choice outside MetaTrader, and mixed Trustpilot feedback on slippage and account adjustments. Orbex fits traders who deliberately want MT4 or MT5, raw-spread pricing, Trading Central, PAMM, and automation. Traders who prioritize first-tier protection, direct share ownership, cTrader, or TradingView execution have stronger alternatives.
